If it was last year

If it was last year, in two days I would be chopping my hair off.
If it was last year, in three days I would be going to my sister's wedding.
If it was last year, in four days I would be saying goodbye to a lot of young men who were serving missions.
If it was last year, in five days I would start my first week of finals week.
If it was last year, I would be looking ahead with apprehension, not knowing what to expect from winter semester.

Time is almost everything. We were there. We are here. We will be there.
Time is almost everything, and yet it is nothing. Today we are here because where we were and we will be where we are tomorrow because of today.

Sometimes I catch myself looking back a little too much, but its what I do. I compare and contrast, take in all the variables to understand why i'm where I am now and why its not the same as before; I like to consider it my inner researcher coming out, haha.

Like a year ago, my little BYU bubble is on the brink of major changes. Three of my five roommates are leaving after next week (they all will be serving LDS missions, very exciting!) leaving only myself and my two very good friends Alicia and Becca, because no one can sell their contracts. I guess i'm just worried about how the dynamics will change. I'm rather curious about how it will all work out.
