Airports
Airports are probably one of my least and most favorite places. I love people watching there, really there couldn't be a better place. This is because you get more than just people from your area, for an average person, I doubt there's a better place to observe a diverse group. On the other hand, no amount of people watching can make a five hour layover fun. What I've seen in the last four hours has included stereotypes, breaking of stereotypes, and just people being people, no matter where they are from. I'm not sure how this ties into being a Byu student, because we really aren't as diverse as an airport. As we get out of the "Byu bubble" I think we need to remember that we live in a world of many views and values and just because someone doesn't see the world the same way doesn't mean their way of life and thought process should be disregarded. I think if we listen and understand what makes us different, it'll be easier to see what makes us all alike.
