Home and Christmas

Finals are over!!

What a great feeling.

And I am home, basking in the glow of our Christmas tree.

Byu is great and all, but Christmas and family is so much better. The past couple days, not including today, it has been snowing in good ol' Utah, further enhancing the feeling of Christmas. Tomorrow, my dad will be here, further enhancing familiness. You're right, familiness isn't a word; I like making up words, though.

Today, I had my dentist appointment for my mission paper and because I already had my six month check up scheduled for today. Last time I went in they told me I had localized gingivitis; a problem that should be cleared up before a mission. As luck, and flossing, would have it, I no longer have gingivitis :) I'm so close to my mission call its insane! However, as great as getting a mission call is, it means you have to leave your family for a while. I think i'm just beginning to realize how hard that actually will be. A couple weeks ago I got a letter from one of my friends on a mission, in an earlier letter I had asked him what he wished he had done before he left. His answer was spending time with his family. These next few days will be the most i'll probably spend with them at one time before I leave (unless i'm not called until june or later). I'm really soaking up now, and all of you should too. Enjoy this break, especially those at BYU (this is the last long break until the end of winter semester), spend time with family, surround yourself with good people, and make sure you do what you can to do good to others around you.

With the joy of Christmas,

Carolina
